It’s hard for an engineer to ignore the allure of working for a small, agile startup—especially if you’ve spent some time in the corporate world. Startups often provide an opportunity to be more involved the overall business, as well as less bureaucracy and a more flexible work environment.\n\nThat said, the engineering skills and personality traits that made you successful in a more traditional career path aren’t necessarily the ones that will entice a startup to hire you.
